WHAT IS A CREMELLO? A cremello is a rare color sometimes produced when breeding two other "diluted" color horses usually two palominos. The cremello has an almost white coat with slight cream highlights. A true cremello has blue eyes and pink skin. Some people mistakenly call these horses albinos. The cremello will produce color 100% when crossed with non-grays. The color produced when crossing the cremello with a chestnut, for example, is palomino. Crossed with a bay it is also possible to get a palomino but often a buckskin or dun result. The color achieved with certain other crosses can be smokey black as well. There is some uncertainty which color may result with many crosses but the foal will be a color horse and you can be certain of that.
